Day 1

2pm: Check-in and explore

Your staycation starts the moment you step through the door and are greeted by our friendly front desk team. Drop off your luggage in your comfortable bedroom, before enjoying some light in-room refreshments, then head out to explore our setting. Those seeking some R&R will revel in the opportunity to take a scenic stroll along the towpath, whilst adrenaline-seekers can partake in an on-site activity or two. Anyone for paddleboarding?

4pm: Try something different with boat hire

Our riverboats are the perfect option for adventures on the river and exploring the surrounding area. Accessed via our private jetty, we offer diesel-powered and electric riverboats, both ideal for beginners and experienced skippers alike. Why not enhance your trip with one of our delicious picnics?

6pm: Sample one of our gins

Set at the heart of the hotel, our Lounge is abuzz with life and home to a whole host of gins. Find a plush spot with views of the river and see which gin takes your fancy. We recommend sampling our very own Runnymede Gin, dreamt up by our bar team and produced in the Surrey Hills by The Gin Kitchen. You can find out more about how it is made by clicking here.

8pm: Indulge at Leftbank

No stay at The Runnymede is complete without booking a table at our renowned buffet restaurant, Leftbank. From seasonal salads to Robata-grilled fresh meat and fish and an array of decadent desserts, it’s a haven for foodies!

Day 2

9am: Prepare for a breakfast of champions

Start the day with a delicious breakfast at Leftbank. Expect freshly brewed coffee, fruit salad, pancakes and an endless supply of pastries. Our hot breakfast options include a classic Full English, or if you prefer something lighter, opt for an omelette.

11am: Take a post-breakfast stroll or exercise class

Once the sun is out, enjoy a gentle stroll through our Orchard or venture a little further afield by wandering along the river and exploring the historic Magna Carta monument. Be sure to admire the Jurors chairs, which were installed to commemorate the 800th anniversary of the sealing of the Magna Carta. Alternatively, take part in one of our exercise classes at the spa.

2.30pm: Enjoy a dip in our outdoor pool

The best way to freshen up is a dip in our outdoor pool. Suitably refreshed, retire to a pool-side lounger and enjoy some ‘me time’ with a good book in the afternoon sun.

4pm: Discover neighbouring Windsor

The Runnymede on Thames is just a stone’s throw from Windsor. Make the most on your staycation by enjoying a day in the royal borough for a spot of sightseeing, souvenir shopping and stopping for a bite to eat. No Windsor trip is complete without visiting Windsor Castle.

7pm: Relax and unwind with an evening spa session

After getting your fix of sightseeing, head back to The Runnymede for some much-needed relaxation in our luxurious spa.  Upgrade your spa experience by booking in a relaxing massage to end the day – the perfect formula for a good night’s sleep.
