What time is check-in / check-out?
Check-in is at 2pm, check–out is at 11am. Early check-in or late check-out can be arranged subject to availability and by pre-arrangement only with our Reservations team on

Why do you take a credit card pre authorisation on check-in?
Pre-authorisation is taken on arrival to guarantee payment in case guests depart without checking out at reception. We encourage guests to use the same credit card to pre-authorise and to settle their bill as failing to do so could delay the pre-authorisation being released by up to 14 days. If using a debit card, full pre-payment of the room rate plus deposit for each night will be taken at the beginning of your stay.
Do you have parking and how much does it cost?
We have car park spaces which are complimentary for residents, spa members and guests dining in our restaurants or lounge, using the spa or with a boat booking.
How many disabled parking bays do you have?
We have 4 designated parking bays for blue badge holders.
Can I moor my boat?
Boats can be moored on our private jetty on a complimentary basis for residents and guests dining with us. Bookings must be made in advance with our Reception team on 01784 220600 to ensure there is availability on the mooring. By prior arrangement, non-residents can moor their boats on the jetty at a cost of £20 per day.
Do you have a hotel taxi service?
We do not have our own taxi company but our preferred supplier is Five Star Taxis who are contactable on 01753 858888 or
bookings@5starwindsor.com.
What time is breakfast served?
Monday–Friday 6.30am–10.00am; Saturday-Sunday 7.30am–10.30am.
Is there a dress code in the restaurants?
Our restaurants are not formal but we prefer that our guests wear smart / casual attire when visiting them. We don’t mind shorts but we do draw the line at vests and bare chests. We reserve the right not to serve customers who are unsuitably dressed for dinner.
Can I bring my own alcohol?
Only alcohol purchased in the hotel can be consumed in the public areas. Corkage charges will apply for alcohol purchased outside the hotel.
Why do we have to show a keycard in the bar after 11pm?
To ensure that we do not contravene the licensing regulations and are only serving residents after 11pm and that the correct drinks are charged to the correct rooms.
Can non-residents or guests of residents use the spa facilities?
Only residents or spa members can use the spa facilities. Non–residents can book beauty treatments and may use the facilities if they are booked on a spa package day.
What time does the outdoor pool open?
The opening times may vary from year to year. The outdoor pool generally operates from mid-May to beginning September each year. Please call The Spa on 01784 220990 for more information.
Can non-residents use the outdoor pool?
Non–residents cannot use the outdoor pool. This facility is open to residents and spa members with outdoor pool membership only. By prior arrangement, spa package day guests who have paid a supplementary charge may use the pool.
After check-out can you use the spa facilities?
The spa facilities cannot be accessed after check–out. By prior arrangement, extension of use up to 1pm can be arranged through our Reservations team on 01784 220980 or
reservations@therunnymede.co.uk.
Do you allow dogs in the public areas?
With the exception of Guide Dogs, unfortunately dogs are not permitted in the public areas but they are welcome on our terraces.
Where is the nearest town?
The nearest town is Egham, approximately a ten minute walk or five minute drive from the hotel. Staines is also nearby (a ten minute drive) and Royal Windsor is six miles away.
Is there a hotel shop?
There is no hotel shop as such. However, reception have a selection of handy items such as toothpaste, tights and cufflinks available to purchase as well as a variety of duck memorabilia. The spa has a selection of swimwear merchandise and beauty retail for purchase.
