The Perfect Picnic Checklist: What to Pack

1. A wicker picnic hamper is always our top pick to carry our picnic essentials inside.

2. Extra-large picnic blanket – ideally a waterproof one just to be extra prepared for any downpours.

3. Ice coolers to keep food cool for longer and to keep all those important mini bottles of fizz cool.

4. Pack foods in sealed Tupperware to avoid a leaky hamper and any possible soggy sandwiches en route to your destination.

5. Don’t forget plates, cutlery, napkins and of course glasses to cheer your outdoor picnic in style.

6. Choose food that will travel well like layered pasta salads, sandwiches, sausage rolls, potato salads, quiches, and desserts in jars – leave delicate cakes and canapés at home that don’t travel well.

And if you fancy treating yourself, why not leave the picnics to us?  We have three picnic baskets to choose from; the simple Garden Picnic, a traditional Orchard Picnic, or the most decadent Sparkling Riverside Picnic. All of our picnics are served in a hamper complete with blanket, disposable plates and cutlery and glasses for your celebration.

And if you hire one of our boats, you can also take advantage of our picnic menu. It’s the perfect way to explore the local area from the water.
