The runnymede-on-thames are proud to be working with the Woodland Trust as a Woodland Carbon partner.
Woodland Carbon is a credible carbon removal scheme which operates under the government’s Woodland Carbon Code. The scheme is not a compulsory carbon offset solution, but is a voluntary way of mitigating carbon emissions by planting trees in the UK.
We are delighted that so far we have created 42.59m² of new native woodland in the UK to remove 1,704kg of Carbon Dioxide. By turning our carbon into woodland we are doing our bit for the environment and, at the same time, helping create thriving new pockets of woodland to benefit both wildlife and people.
We are looking forward to reducing our carbon emissions further this yearto support a more sustainable environment.
