DAY ONE:

1pm: Check-in

Your staycation starts here! Check-in from 1pm, drop your bags in your room and get ready to explore.

2pm: Lounge by our Outdoor Pool

Our spectacular outdoor pool is one of our favourite things about summer. While the little ones have a splash, sit back on a sun lounger, cocktail in hand and simply relax.

4.30pm: An Archery session

New to The Runnymede for 2021 is Archery. Pick up your bow, pull on your tights and show Robin Hood what you’re made of! A 1 hour session is £20 for adults and £15 for children.

7pm: Dinner in Leftbank

With riverside views, tasty dishes and an extensive wine list, Leftbank is the perfect place to enjoy night one of your staycation. Enjoy a long, leisurely dinner from our modern, British menu. Book a Table

DAY TWO:

8am: Starting the day…

With an action-packed day ahead, you’ll want to start the day with a nourishing breakfast in Leftbank.

10am: A day at a theme park

Give the children a day they won’t forget with a visit to one of the UK’s top theme parks. Thorpe Park is perfect for thrill seekers whereas Legoland is a fantastic day out for little ones and adults alike.

6pm: Dinner at the River Hideout

After a busy day out, you’ll be in need of some hearty grub on return to The Runnymede! Look no further than the brand new River Hideout, a spacious pergola on the banks of the River Thames. With its casual seating and informal food options including homemade pizzas and our Runnymede Dirty cheeseburger, it’s the perfect way to refuel after a day of adventure.

8pm: Movie time!

Let the kids wind down and relax in your room with a good film and bag of popcorn!

DAY THREE:

10.30am: Boat trip

A must-do when visiting The Runnymede is hiring one of our fantastic riverboats. Set sail from our private jetty and drift down the Thames, giving the little ones turns to steer and navigate your journey. Our boats hold up to 6 people and are incredibly easy to use. Why not bring one of our picnics on board?

2.30pm: Stop for Afternoon Tea

Once you’re back on dry land, head to the Lock for a spot of afternoon tea. Indulge in delectable finger sandwiches, homemade cakes and scone whilst the kids enjoy our children’s afternoon tea, complete with a babychino or hot chocolate.

4.30pm: Laser Clay Pigeon Shooting

Another new activity for the summer, put your accuracy skills to the test and take aim with our state-of-the-art, laser-adapted rifles. A 1 hour session is £20 for adults and £15 for children.

7pm: Dine by the river

For your final night with us, make the most of our beautiful location with a return visit to Leftbank. With varying midweek, Saturday and Sunday menus and a wealth of delicious dishes to choose from, you won’t be stuck for choice.

DAY FOUR:

9.30am: Breakfast time

Enjoy a lie in, you are on holiday after all! Then wander down to the restaurant for a good coffee and breakfast before checking out.

11am: Explore the local area

On your way home, take some time to explore the local area. There are plenty of options for kids, whether it’s a stand-up paddleboarding lesson just down the road at Just SUP UK, a stroll in Windsor Great Park, a day at Chessington World of Adventures or one of our lesser-known local attractions.

With so much to do both on our grounds and further afield, The Runnymede on Thames makes for the perfect family staycation.
