Virginia Water Lake was initially created by the Duke of Cumberland, Ranger of Windsor Great Park in the mid-1700s. Destroyed by a storm, King George III re-constructed the lake, and since then, the beautiful lake, woodland pathways and cascading waterfalls have proved a popular destination for visitors wanting to enjoy the great outdoors.

A stroll around the lake will lead to The Valley Gardens, a showcase of exotic flowers and trees, the Leptis Magna ruins and a 100-foot totem pole featuring mythical creatures, gifted to Her Majesty the Queen.
