The classic G&T is hard to beat, but not all mixers are created equal. Based on their ethos that “if ¾ of your drink is the mixer, mix with the best” Fever-Tree co-founders Charles Rolls and Tim Warrillow pioneered the premium mixer category, travelling the globe to source the finest ingredients. And since they put the lid on their first bottle of Premium Indian Tonic Water in 2005, they haven’t looked back – bringing quality, flavour and choice back to mixers.

And as the UK’s love affair with gin continues to blossom, an ever expanding range of options are hitting the shelves – each with their own flavour category. Thankfully, the folks at Fever-Tree have created an expert pairing guide to help you navigate the extensive choices. From herbal to earthy, fruity to floral, you choose your flavor preferences and they’ll provide the provide gin-spiration – suggesting the perfect tonic water and garnish to compliment the profile of your preferred gin.

Cheers to that!

FEVER-TREE’S GUIDE TO
THE ULTIMATE G&T

Step 1.
Choose your premium gin

Step 2.
Select your favourite Fever-Tree Tonic

Step 3.
We suggest a ‘Copa De Balon’ glass, however a wine or highball glass can be used instead

Step 4.
Fill the glass full of ice (the more the better)

Step 5.
Pour a 50ml measure of gin into the glass using a jigger, if you don’t have one at home, an egg cup or shot glass will do fine!

Step 6.
Pour your chosen Fever-Tree mixer into the glass

Step 7.
When it comes to the final flourish, get creative with your garnishing. Not only will they add a refreshing extra, but they will look great sitting in your glass.

We recommend experimenting with fresh herbs like mint, rosemary, thyme or sage to bring a hint of the outside in. Alternatively try adding wedge of grapefruit, orange peel or even cucumber slices. Just don’t forget, if you’re including a citrus twist, to release the precious oils for added aroma.

So, when the sun does finally make another appearance, you’ll be ready and waiting to impress guests, from a socially appropriate distance of course.
