1. Visit historic Windsor
The historic town of Windsor is only a 15-minute drive away from the hotel and is home to Windsor Castle the oldest occupied castle in the world and is home to the Queen of England. The Guards can be watched as they march up the high street and into Windsor Castle. Located opposite Windsor Castle are over 40 exciting shops and an array of restaurants and bars.
2. Take to the Thames in one of our riverboats
Being nestled right on the banks of the River Thames, we’re more than prepared to help you set sail. Our fleet is accessed via the hotel’s private jetty and includes an Antaris launch, two electric family riverboats and the UK’s only HotTug – there’s something for everyone! We can even prepare a picnic snack box for your day on the river. (Our boats are available to hire from April until mid-September.)
3. Enjoy a pretty riverside walk along the Thames path
Turn left, upstream on the hotel riverside and discover;

4. Have some fun at one of the nearby theme parks
We’re nearby to a number of popular theme parks including LEGOLAND Windsor and THORPE PARK. Perfect for those looking for an exciting day out this Easter with fun for everyone.
5. Follow the Rainbow trail in Savill Garden
Unwind in the natural beauty of The Savill Garden and experience the magnificent horticultural. This Easter you can follow the vibrant Rainbow Trail, weaving through the Garden and learn about different flowers and plants along the way, with an exciting prize to collect at the end.
6. Indulge in a naughty but nice afternoon tea

9. Dine in one of our riverside restaurants
Treat the family to lunch or dinner in one of our riverside restaurants. Enjoy home style cooking, Sunday roasts and seasonal favourites in The Lock Bar and Kitchen. Alternatively, you can tuck into a veritable feast of informal buffet food in our Leftbank restaurant where you can help yourself to as much as you want. Best of all there’s no washing up!
10. Enjoy some lovely bubbly time together in our Whirl pool by the Weir
Exclusive to guests of The Runnymede is our indulgent outdoor whirlpool, which is situated on a private jetty right on the banks of the River Thames. It’s the perfect spot to unwind with a glass of Champagne in hand and watch the ducks swim by.
