Thinking creatively…

As we finally emerge out of lockdown, it’s an exciting thought that we will be able to reunite with our colleagues and clients in person. At The Runnymede, we are used to being creative, having hosted such a wide range of events. From puppy yoga to steel bands, treasure hunts to the unveiling of an artisan garden straight out of Chelsea Flower Show, our team have heaps of experience in putting together special events.

We’ve listed some ideas to get you inspired for your upcoming events…

Get into nature

Over the last year we have all learnt how important being outdoors is. Luckily, The Runnymede has an abundance of outdoor spaces perfect for groups. Make use of bright, beautiful spaces that open out onto the river, enjoy a picnic in our secluded Orchard, or gather your team at our brand new River Hideout. Not forgetting our range of outdoor dining options that we will tailor to your event. Speak to our Events team to enquire about your outdoor event.

Team-building activities are perfect for bringing your team back together after so long apart. We have hosted a range of activities in the past, including… Crystal Maze, Dragon Boat racing, It’s a Knock Out, tennis tournaments, climbing walls, treasure hunts and even The Italian Job, where guests disappear in minis or vintage cars to find clues.

A day on the river

Guaranteed to please your employees or clients, why not hire one of our riverboats and cruise along the River Thames? This year we have brand new boats available for private hire, the largest available for up to 150 guests. If you have a lot of time, a 4 hour cruise even promises views of Windsor Castle! We can also use our fleet of boats as additional “floating syndicates” or meeting rooms and if stationary on our mooring, the hotel WiFi can still be utilised.
