2pm: Check-in

Treat your dad to a staycation here at The Runnymede Hotel. Check-in from 2pm, drop your bags in your room and get ready to explore.

2.30pm: An Archery session

Take a tour of our facilities and why not challenge your dad to a spot of Archery? A 1 hour session with one of our instructors is £20 for adults and £15 for children.

3.30pm: Lounge by our outdoor pool

When British Summertime delivers, our impressive outdoor pool is one of our favourite things about summer here at The Runnymede. We provide the towels, all you need to do is sit back on a sun lounger, with a cold beverage in hand and relax.

4.30pm: Try our Gentleman’s afternoon tea

After something a little different this Father’s Day? Opt for our special gent’s afternoon tea menu for £32. With riverside views, tasty dishes like mini beef sliders, finger sandwiches, rum and raisin scones, sweet treats, and a bottle of craft beer or a glass of champagne. 6pm: Visit Windsor Brewery

Windsor Brewery is the ideal place to come and enjoy freshly brewed beers – perfect if the male in your life is an avid beer fan. The brewery is stocked with a wide range of award-winning beers, bitters, IPAs, pilsners, ciders, as well as spirits, wines, and soft drinks.

8pm: Enjoy dinner at Leftbank

It wouldn’t be Father’s Day without a little indulgence with dinner at Leftbank. Enjoy a long, leisurely dinner from our modern, British buffet menu. Choose from a wide selection of starters, hot main dishes and an array of tempting desserts. Click here to book a table.

10pm: Nightcap in the Lounge

Watch the sunset and soak in the picturesque views of the River Thames at our Lounge bar. Serving an extensive range of whiskies from around the world and our very own Runnymede gin that we think makes the perfect G&T – cheers to that.

DAY TWO:

8am: Starting the day…

The best start of the day has to be breakfast at Leftbank to fuel you for the day.

9.30am: Spa time

Take advantage of our spa facilities before you check out with a swim, infrared sauna session and a dip in the jacuzzi. Even better, surprise dad by booking a massage treatment in advance. Pushed for time? Why not present your dad with a gift voucher for The Runnymede so he can look forward to creating more experiences here.

11am: Boat trip

A must-do when visiting The Runnymede is hiring one of our marvellous riverboats. Set sail from our private jetty and drift down the Thames. We can even provide tasty  picnics on board if you are feeling a little peckish. Plus, you have the option of the boat being skippered if you don’t fancy tackling the locks.

1pm: Explore the local area

On your way home, take some time to explore the local area. There are plenty of options available, whether it’s a stand-up paddleboarding lesson just down the road at Just SUP UK, a stroll in Windsor Great Park, a visit to Kew Gardens or a night at Ascot races.

With so much to do both on our grounds and further afield, The Runnymede on Thames makes for the perfect Father’s Day staycation.
