Upon arrival, step into the lobby and feel the crisp winter air instantly melt away. Gazing around, notice the beautifully classic Christmas displays, all carefully designed and arranged by the team at Lily’s Flowers. Adopting a festive brown, orange and black colour scheme this year, the hotel emits that warm, cosy feeling usually felt when you’ve gone back to your childhood home for the holidays. If you’re in need of some decoration inspiration, check out our blog post on upcycling old Christmas ornaments.

From The Lounge to The Spa, Christmas can be anticipated with every step taken around the hotel. In  Leftbank , a delicious festive menu has been crafted to include wholesome specials such as a roast turkey breast with all the trimmings, and a nut roast with spiced baked pumpkin, cranberry, rosemary and shallot sauce. Or, if you fancy a sweet treat and a bit of pre-Christmas indulgence with family and friends, pop down to The Lock Bar & Kitchen and sample Ahmet’s mouth-watering Festive Afternoon Tea overlooking the Thames, complete with a glass of A. Robert Rose Champagne or Thomson & Scott Noughty. With a menu dedicated to the little ones as well as one for all of you vegans out there, this is the perfect way to celebrate the season with loved ones. Our Airstream trailer will also be back in its rightful place, providing steaming hot chocolate, warming mulled wine and other seasonal treats to keep you in the most festive of spirits.

For your festive entertainment, The Runnymede is in prime location, being a stone’s throw away from plenty of family-friendly attractions.  Laugh your socks off at the Jack and the Beanstalk pantomime at the Theatre Royal Windsor – a must at Christmas. Or, wrap up warm and take to the illuminated trails weaving throughout Windsor Great Park – particularly beautiful throughout the winter months. Whatever you decide, the team at The Runnymede will be waiting to welcome you back into the warm and snug interiors of the hotel, ready to help you continue your relaxing festive retreat…
