Take a stroll upstream and discover the riverside site of the sealing of Magna Carta, where Turner Prize-winning artist Mark Wallinger has created ‘Writ in Water’, an installation inspired by Clause 39 of Magna Carta.
You will also find memorials to John F. Kennedy, The Magna Carta and “The Jurors” a unique installation of 12 bronze chairs by artist Hew Locke a direct reference to part of Magna Carta, which states that no man can be imprisoned “except by the lawful judgment of his equals or by the law of the land” and unveiled by Prince William in 2015.
