Get ready to feel really excited… you’re about to discover our two breathtakingly beautiful large function suites. There are exclusive terraces and balconies so you can host your own drinks party outside in the fresh air where guests can mix and mingle, aperitifs in hand. The style is warm, contemporary and neutral, so you’re free to introduce any décor theme. The spaces are flexible with no pillars blocking the view of the heroes of the party!

Our service is famously good; things just happen and you don’t have to worry about a thing. And because the atmosphere at the runnymede is delightfully informal, very family-friendly and relaxed… everyone just goes with the flow and enjoys a fabulous time!

Private Function Room - The Grand Union Suite

If you want to enjoy your own exclusive self-contained area with a private entrance away from the main hotel, book the Grand Union Suite. We’ll even roll out the red carpet just for you! The space is very flexible with lots of options, which we’ll talk through with you. For example you could welcome your guests into a beautiful bar area for a drinks reception, then move through to the Grand Union Suite for the rest of the party. Or you may prefer to start your party with a drinks reception on the balcony or the lawn - or even on a boat on the River Thames! There’s an inlaid dance floor, a full audio-visual and PA system so you can project your own videos, music and photos. Staging is available so you can jazz up the evening with live entertainment. As you’d expect there’s air conditioning too.

Your private area comes complete with your own exclusive bar, toilets and the Mooring - a fun place where children and big kids can take time out with our retro arcade machine, table football and a large snazzy plasma screen.

Function room capacity: 250 people with the dance floor. The finishing time is 1am Monday to Saturday and 11.30pm on Sundays.

The Riverside Suite, available from May 2010

Throw a party right on the banks of the Thames! The spectacular views from the riverside suite get even better when you’re outside on the terrace - you can even see boats navigating their way through Bell Weir Lock!

This very flexible space offers you many options... host a drinks reception in the suite or on the terrace or in our lounge… enjoy a BBQ outside in the evening… a formal sit down banquet or informal buffet… there’s a bar inside the suite keeping the whole party together… a dance floor that can be located anywhere in the suite so you can boogie the night away to a disco or live music and entertainment, thanks to our full audio-visual and PA system. For your comfort, there’s air conditioning too.

Function room capacity: 80 people for a buffet or 100 for a sit down dinner with dancing. The finishing time is midnight Monday to Saturday and 11.30pm on Sundays.
