Access
Accessible parking is available close to the main entrance
of the hotel. We currently have six reserved spaces; however if all
spaces are in use we can also offer to park cars. Wheelchair users
can enter the hotel via the fixed level ramp area to the side of
the Leftbank entrance as the main hotel entrance has two steps.
Reception Desk
Currently Receptionists provide guest registration of
mobility-impaired guests by coming to the other side of the desk or
registering guests in their room.
Bedrooms
The hotel has two bedrooms specifically designed for
mobility-impaired guests, which have the following facilities:
- Wider doorways to allow easy access for wheelchair users
- A large bathroom with suitable taps, sanitary ware and grab
handles
- Call assistance alarm system from bathroom and bedroom
- Fully controllable lighting and air conditioning
- Wardrobes and drawer units with appropriate access for the
mobility impaired
These bedrooms are located close to the elevator/fire escape for
easy access and are spacious allowing good access.
Guests who have a Hearing Impediment
will also be able to use these rooms as they will have:
- Text displays and hotel information displayed on a television
screen
- Visual fire alarm warning
For guests who have a Visual
Impediment we can provide on request:
- Readers
- Guiders
- Provision of menus and documents in large, clear print
Public areas
Leftbank and Charlie Bell’s restaurants are easily accessible to
all users; the lounge is also accessible and a portable ramp is
readily available for wheelchair users to gain access to the
Conservatory and terrace areas.
Accessible facilities - hotel
We currently have two unisex public use accesible toilets which
are both situated on the ground floor. One is situated by the Magna
Carta suite near the main reception desk for guests using Leftbank,
Charlie Bell’s and the Angler’s Bar and Conservatory. A further
toilet is situated in the Meetings and Events area of the
hotel.
For guests who have a Visual
Impediment we can provide on request:
- Readers
- Guiders
- Provision of menus and documents in large, clear print
Accessible facilities - spa
The spa and gymnasium is easily accessible to wheelchair users
as it is a spacious area located on one level with wide doorways.
However please note we do not currently have any equipment or
toilet/shower facilities specifically designed for disabled guests
within the Spa. Toilet facilities are available in the main
hotel.
